aleï journal is a biannual magazine based in Paris and distributed internationally.
Since 2016, aleï journal has been an independently published magazine, commissioned and directed by its creators: Stas Kalashnikov, Melodie Zagury, and Daphne Mookherjee.
It successfully brings together photography, art, and non-fiction. Through a creative and artistic lens, it aims to shed light on the singular aspects of today's world.
aleï journal is a collection of artist interviews, free-form writings ranging from poetry to fiction, and numerous image series submitted by international photographers. Every collaboration is fully unrestricted, as the magazine strives to function as a catalogue—a permanent and distinct object.
It explores themes such as intimacy, individuality, and the relationship with the body. The absence of filters and retouching, combined with complete creative freedom, offers the magazine's contributors an authentic space for expression and sensitivity.
